CleverChain named finalist at ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2026 for second consecutive year

17 Apr 2026

CleverChain has been named a Finalist at the ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2026 in the category “Compliance AI Solution of the Year”, marking the second consecutive year of recognition.

The awards are organised by the International Compliance Association (ICA), one of the leading global organisations shaping the compliance and financial crime profession. Since 2001, the ICA has certified more than 160,000 practitioners worldwide. Its judging panel includes senior leaders from regulated firms, assessing solutions against real-world regulatory expectations and operational standards.

This continued recognition reflects CleverChain’s approach to compliance AI, built on three core principles: contextual intelligence, policy-driven logic, and explainability by design. The platform’s latest evolution introduces agentic capabilities, enabling autonomous due diligence processes that operate under the same controls and standards applied to human investigators.

At the centre of this innovation is VERA, CleverChain’s agentic due diligence solution, already deployed across financial institutions, industrial organisations, and professional services firms. VERA operates across all three lines of defence, supporting compliance teams with scalable, auditable, and transparent decision-making.

The recognition comes at a pivotal moment for the regulatory landscape in Europe. In 2026, the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) is progressing into its supervisory phase, increasing focus on areas such as beneficial ownership, risk selection, and complex corporate structures. At the same time, the EU AI Act begins to apply its main provisions from August, introducing requirements around governance, transparency, human oversight, and documentation for high-risk AI systems. Alongside this, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), in force since January 2025, reinforces expectations around operational resilience, third-party risk, and system testing.

Together, these frameworks are raising the bar for compliance technology. Systems must now be governable, auditable, resilient, and capable of producing evidence that withstands supervisory scrutiny. CleverChain has been built to meet these requirements, aligning technology with the evolving demands of regulators and compliance professionals.

Winners of the awards will be announced on 25th June 2026 at Park Plaza Westminster in London.
